Over the past 15 years I’ve had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects, from global brand campaigns to documentaries that tackle pressing social issues. My showreel offers a glimpse into the stories I’ve helped bring to life, stories that aim to connect with audiences on a deeper level, inspire action, and leave a lasting impact. With over 15 years of experience, I specialise in crafting powerful documentaries that explore untold stories across social issues, sport, and subcultures. My work blends investigative depth with creative storytelling, spanning topics such as addiction, crime, gender-based violence, and climate change. Highlights include Fire Country, a confronting exploration of Australia’s 2019–2020 wildfires, and a nomination for a Voyager Media Award for Radio NZ’s A Whitebaiters’ Guide to Kwitchatown.
I’ve directed award-winning documentaries like Gone with the Wing, which follows a wing foiler’s mission to cross Bass Strait, and have explored unique subcultures and communities through films such as Syn City and Lost Boys of Taranaki. Partnering with organisations like Oxfam, I’ve captured advocacy efforts in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Bangladesh, crafting stories that engage audiences, spark conversations, and inspire change.

In Papua New Guinea, I collaborated with Oxfam to document critical issues such as sorcery-related violence, gender-based violence, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programmes. This work, published globally including in The Guardian, required a deep understanding of cultural nuances, trust-building, and a steadfast commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices.
Through powerful visuals and compelling storytelling, I contributed to advocacy, fundraising, governance and awareness efforts that aimed to drive meaningful change. These projects highlighted the resilience of local communities while shedding light on urgent social challenges, creating impactful content that resonated with global audiences.
I specialise in humanitarian storytelling, creating impactful content on critical issues such as gender-based violence, modern slavery, and climate change. Partnering with organisations like Oxfam, I’ve documented stories in Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands, with work published globally, including in The Guardian. Combining cultural sensitivity, technical expertise, and emotive storytelling, I amplify underrepresented voices and drive awareness through compelling visuals.

I've always had a fascination with Iceland, so I decided to satisfy my intrigue with a visit. This project was a personal journey of exploration and creativity, and I'm proud that it won a Silver Award at the New Zealand Cinematography Awards. I love the creative freedom and storytelling opportunities that music videos provide. One of my standout projects is In the Rain by artist Fraser Ross, a music video that I shot and directed. This piece earned a Silver Award in the music video category at the New Zealand Cinematography Awards.
